Renaming

Not sure I agree with the proposed rename to "The Night of The Doctor (Minisode)" as other 'minisodes' use the '(TV story)' suffix (Good as Gold (TV story), Time Crash (TV story), Death Is the Only Answer (TV story), &c.). I don't know why a suffix is necessary at all (there are no other pages called Time Crash with which to distinguish the TV story from, for example), but apparently that's how you people do things here (= --92.24.43.75talk to me 12:39, November 14, 2013 (UTC)

I agree. This may warrant renaming, given that I believe the story was originally intended to be shown on television first, but was released early online. Memnarc 23:33, November 14, 2013 (UTC)
Sensible. Red Button is TV.

Requested addition

Since someone - without apparent consensus, or at least lack of discussion on this talk page - has gone and locked the article, could one of the chosen few please add to the Story Notes section the fact this is the first time in Doctor Who history that a storyline exclusively featuring incarnations of the Doctor other than the present incumbent has been released? 68.146.70.124talk to me 22:44, November 15, 2013 (UTC)

Consensus or discussion aren't required when an admin needs to protect a page. It was protected for the same reason as War Doctor, and you can find the reasoning at that article's talk page. Shambala108 00:41, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

TV Story

Since this is a TV story, why is it not in the Regeneration television stories cat? I'd change this myself, but the page is locked. 24.192.81.138talk to me 14:18, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Edit request

The footage of John Hurt is taken from I, Claudius, where he plays Caligula. Something of note to add. 86.144.31.253talk to me 14:49, November 16, 2013 (UTC)

Eighth Doctor TV Story

Is there any chance that this story will be added to the list of Eighth Doctor TV stories in the Doctor Who Television Story template? TARDIStraveler 23:10, December 15, 2013 (UTC)

Re-asking since it's been a couple months with no response. 24.39.197.90talk to me 13:09, March 14, 2014 (UTC)
Whoops, sorry, logged out somehow. TARDIStraveler 13:10, March 14, 2014 (UTC)
Done. Added. --Tangerineduel / talk 14:38, March 14, 2014 (UTC)
No. We don't use the template that way; we only list the stories from the original run of the Doctor. In the case of the Fifth Doctor we don't add in Time Crash, and we don't add The Three Doctors and The Five Doctors to the templates of all the Doctors who appear in them. Even if 8 is the primary Doctor in this story, it is still not part of his original run, which is the only content we list on the template. --Bold Clone 15:17, March 14, 2014 (UTC)
You're not an admin, Tangerineduel is. If he says it goes there, it goes there. Time Crash is a crossover which primarily stars the Tenth Doctor. Night though, only stars the Eighth. I'm pretty sure that's the criteria. Primary featured Doctor.  Digifiend  Talk  PR/SS  KR  MH  Toku  JD  Garo  TH  CG  UM  Logos  CLG  DW  03:28,15/3/2014
Wrong. The primary featured Doctor is not the criteria; the original run of the Doctor is the criteria. As a matter of fact, that's how the template is specifically designed; each heading within the template shows the original run of each Doctor, not every single subsequent appearance. --Bold Clone 03:50, March 15, 2014 (UTC)
