The Battle of Clontarf was a battle fought between the forces of King Sitric Silkbeard of Dublin and King Brian Boru of Munster in Dublin, Ireland in 1014.

In 1006, the Eighth Doctor advised Brother Bernard to stay away from Clontarf in 1014. (AUDIO: The Book of Kells)
