On 28 September 1984, Peri Brown returned home to Fell's Point, Baltimore, Maryland with the Sixth Doctor after leaving with the Fifth Doctor on 9 May to attend the funeral of Anthony Chambers. They soon discovered a Cyber-threat. Anthony rose from the grave as a Cyberman to attack Peri and her family. The Cyber-Leader, dying, gave the Doctor an impossible choice: erase the human race from history, or let the Cybermen kill all his friends. The Doctor instead tricked the Leader into thinking he was complying, but actually dropped him off on Mondas, not a Cyberman-overridden Earth. Peri decided to stay with her family. After her mother died in the accidental self-destruction of a Cyber-conversion egg a few months later, however, Peri rejoined the Doctor in his travels in the TARDIS. (AUDIO: The Reaping)
In 2050, Daniel Clompus of the Guardian enjoyed a rare interview with the Brigadier at Westcliffe Retirement Home in Sussex. The interview formed the basis of the introduction to the 2051 book Watch the Skies: The Not-So-Secret-History of Alien Encounters. (PROSE: The King of Terror)
