Buzz Aldrin was an American astronaut and a member of the Apollo 11 mission. As far as the majority of humanity was aware, he was the second man to walk on the Moon on 20 July 1969, after Neil Armstrong. (TV: Day of the Moon, PROSE: Who Killed Kennedy)
It was not generally known that dozens of people had set foot on the Moon prior to Aldrin and Armstrong as the United States government had built a moonbase on the far side of the Moon in the 1960s using alien technology.
