Ashbridge Cottage Hospital was a hospital in Epping, Essex. The Doctor was brought there after collapsing in Oxley Woods from his recent regeneration. Dr. Henderson was astounded by the Doctor's x-rays and non-human blood samples. A porter, Mullins, overheard him talking about this and called the Daily Chronicle offices. Several journalists, including Michael Wagstaffe and James Stevens, came to get the story, but neither Captain Jimmy Munro nor the Brigadier would answer their questions.
