Prelude Falls the Shadow was, as the name suggested, a prelude to Falls the Shadow by Daniel O'Mahony. It did not appear in the published novel.
Summary
A man is the victim of a terrible car crash. Mirabilis tells a man that he must destroy the agents of entropy. At a seaside resort, a woman kills her companion. In a forest, the Doctor steps on a butterfly.
