Manisha Purkayastha was a friend of Ace. Because she was from Pakistan, her house was firebombed by racists in 1983, wounding her. Enraged by this, Ace burned down Gabriel Chase. (TV: Ghost Light)

Accounts differed as to whether she "nearly" (PROSE: Timewyrm: Apocalypse) or actually did (PROSE: Blood Heat) die.
