Ilbridge House was considered one of the most haunted houses in England in the 19th century.

The Doll's House was an exact replica of Ilbridge House. The architecture making it a psychic resonator was duplicated by the Doll's House. (PROSE: The Death of Art)

Behind the scenes

Ilbridge House was the subject of M. R. James' short story The Haunted Dolls' House.
