Taxi

A taxi, also called a cab, was a means of transportation in which the user paid someone to drive them somewhere. (PROSE: Trapped!) Taxis were recognizable from the orange light on their roofs and two countries had distinctive types of taxis: America had yellow Ford Crown Victoria cabs and Britain had black TX-series Hackney cabs.

The Tenth Doctor and Donna Noble tried taking a taxi to St Mary's Church in Chiswick, but the driver kicked them out when they realised neither had any money. Later, the Doctor rescued Donna from a taxi driven by a Roboform. (TV: The Runaway Bride)
