2082 was the year in which Ace died. She sacrificed herself by detonating Nitro-9 at close range against the Lobri, agents of the Threshold. They had kidnapped the Doctor's former companions Sarah Jane Smith, Peri Brown and Susan Foreman and brought them to this year. (COMIC: Ground Zero)
