Lifton

Lifton was a small coastal village in southern England that the Seventh Doctor, Benny and Ace visited on 15 October 1855. There, in the rocks that formed the beaches, palaeontologist Mary Anne Wesley discovered an extra-terrestrial, reptilian fossil. According to the Doctor, the blue lias and limestone of Lifton was "one of the richest fossil beds in southern England". (COMIC: Cuckoo)
