Shoreditch?[[edit source]]
If it's on High Street, is it still Shoreditch, or was that just an assumption?

- It's a hard one. Also I don't know the topology of London. That the betting shop is on High Street is a hard fact: "High street. Staring at the sheet of plastic plastered over the betting shop window." That the betting shop is in Shoreditch follows from the description of Poppy's escapade: "Poppy [...] tore through Shoreditch like a weather front." Note that the whole escapade took exactly 10 minutes. Whether there can be more than one High Street in London, I don't know. Amorkuz ☎ 21:42, November 1, 2016 (UTC)
- We haven't considered that it could just be a major street that runs through both. That seems the most logical and least speculative approach. It's a street that's in both Shoreditch and Ealing.

The important thing though is not to look at the map :) I still remember how in a comic story Gabby Gonzalez gets out of the subway on the West Side, goes along the street and magically finds herself on the Upper East Side completely ignoring the Central Park in between. - Now the answer to your last. Apparently, I never listen to my own advice. I looked at the map and did some digging. First, there are in reality different High Streets in Greater London: Google Maps suggests four or five. Apparently, it's not even a proper name but the designation of the main street of something. So there can be one in each district, borough, or whatever. Secondly, there is a Shoreditch High Street tube station. This, of course, creates a dilemma. How do we decide when two stories talk about the same High Street? Should we dab them with the story name by default? Amorkuz ☎ 23:49, November 1, 2016 (UTC)
- With locations, we tend to go more for the format High Street, Shoreditch than disambiguation terms. Although, if "High Street" is more of a description than an actual street name, Shoreditch High Street would be basically equivalent, syntactically, to saying Coal Hill main hall. In either case, the one in Ealing would get the same naming treatment.
- I don't think it makes sense at this point to assume they're meant to be the same street, especially now we know it's essentially like calling them both "Main Street". The two neighbourhoods both have high streets.

We don't actually need to create multiple pages. We can amend the description on High Street] and then have subsections for each of the high streets, at least in London. So far there seems to be only two and they are named "High Street". Future readers may not know the name of a London borough they need, so it could be hard for them to guess which one is right. If a High Street is in another city, however, then disambig should work efficiently... if there will be High Streets outside of London. Amorkuz ☎ 11:07, November 2, 2016 (UTC)
