I'm pretty sure the Doctor means to say River married Stephen Fry, not himself. Every other name each person says is someone the other married. --121.45.216.108talk to me 23:39, December 26, 2015 (UTC)

"River Song mentions Cleopatra, who she previously passed off. She also tries to accuse the Doctor of marrying Cleopatra, but the Doctor brushes it off because of the fact River had assumed her identity. (TV: The Pandorica Opens)"

That's a really strange interpretation of what was said. How did someone get that the Doctor was brushing it off from that conversation where they were just throwing names out and it sounded more like he was saying he married her too. Whether or not he meant meant that he married actual Cleopatra hardly matters. 71.235.140.59talk to me 00:17, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

Certainly I don't remember from that exchange the Doctor bringing up that she was disguised as her in The Pandorica Opens. -- Tybort (talk page) 01:12, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
    • He actually said "same difference" about Cleopatra so I got the impression he meant since River had once been her. As for the Stephen Fry think I agree with the first commentator.--WarGrowlmon18 20:25, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

Doctor: So, King Hydroflax.
River: Oh, how many times? I married the diamond!
Doctor: So you say.
River: Elizabeth I.
Doctor: Ramone.
River: Marilyn Monroe.
Doctor: Stephen Fry.
River: Cleopatra!
Doctor: Same thing!

The context is River and the Doctor throwing names back and forth of who the other has married besides each other. River accused him of marrying Elizabeth I, Marilyn Monroe, and Cleopatra. He accused her of marrying Ramone, Stephen Fry, and when it came to Cleopatra he said "same thing" (not same difference) indicating they both married Cleopatra. Mewiet 20:59, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

Explosion[[edit source]]

After the ship explodes on Darillium, the Doctor and River fly across the room of the TARDIS due to the force of the explosion. Shouldnt the TARDIS prevent that from happening? TimeoinSay G'DayView my work 02:05, December 27, 2015 (UTC)
Maybe if it had inertial dampeners but this is Doctor Who not Star Trek.--WarGrowlmon18 20:25, December 27, 2015 (UTC)

Restaurant at the End of the Universe[[edit source]]

"Is the gentleman here for dinner?"
"Yes he is."
"Excellent. I'll have the chef prepare him immediately."
- The whole scene is reminiscent of Doug Adams' "Restaurant at the End of the Universe". I'm wondering if other people agree to the point that this reference should be added to the main article page. The preceding unsigned comment was added by 66.144.138.19 (talk • contribs) .

If it's not incredibly obvious, you need a reference to support the comparison.--Skittles the hog - talk 14:44, January 2, 2016 (UTC)

The actual Surgeon?[[edit source]]

Did I imagine seeing what appeared to be the real "Surgeon" asking someone for directions in the background as Nardole was leading the Doctor away from the TARDIS? Is there any information about this character, such as who played him? —Phil | Talk 10:26, January 5, 2016 (UTC)

You didn't imagine him, but I can't find any actor information for him online. I'll have a proper look about tomorrow, see what we can dig up. KingOrokos 00:36, January 6, 2016 (UTC)
I could be wrong due to having not watched the special in about 3 months, but I remember the surgeon beared a resemblance to the actor who plays Les Croker in Eastenders, so it's possible he was played by him. Like I said, I could be wrong though. Kahler Bill 17:08, July 7, 2016 (UTC)
Never mind. It wasn't him.Kahler Bill 17:11, July 7, 2016 (UTC)

Not on earth?[[edit source]]

"This is the first Christmas episode to have no scenes take place on Earth." I believe that "A Christmas Carol" had no scenes on earth. Am I wrong, or is this statement? Dclaar 05:55, January 13, 2016 (UTC)

No, that's correct. Removed that bit. -- Tybort (talk page) 07:51, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
(Edit reason meant to say A Christmas Carol, not The Snowmen, sorry. -- Tybort (talk page) 07:54, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
Actually, it did. The Doctor took young Kazran to Earth and married Marilyn Monroe. JagoAndLitefoot 14:43, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
Oh yeah, you're right. My mistake. -- Tybort (talk page) 19:47, January 13, 2016 (UTC)

Sixth Doctor Image[[edit source]]

Just rewatched this scene and I either think that it's either from The Twin Dilemma, Vengeance on Varos or The Mark of the Rani, anyone else got any ideas? Adric♥NyssaTalk? 17:37, April 10, 2016 (UTC)

Was the Surgeon uncredited?[[edit source]]

After Nardole mistakes the Doctor for the surgeon that River requires, the real Surgeon appears for a moment and has a line of dialogue. However, he doesn't appear in the cast log and has not got his own page on this wikia. Xx-connor-xX 14:23, December 27, 2016 (UTC)

That is the surgeon, feel free to create a page. - Sir DENCH-and-PALMER 14:24, December 27, 2016 (UTC)
