A soldier was stationed at Snowcap Tracking Base during December 1986. He kept guard over the First Doctor, Ben Jackson and Polly Wright when they arrived at Snowcap.
When the Cybermen arrived at the base, General Cutler instructed the soldier to try and apprehend them, but was shot and killed by one of the Cybermen. (TV: The Tenth Planet)
