Slitheen family
The Slitheen Family are a family of Raxacoricofallapatorian criminals from the planet Raxacoricofallapatorius. One of their criminal activities has been to seized control of the UK government and attempted to start a nuclear war. Their ultimate aim was to turn the Earth into a huge nuclear reactor pile and sell its remains off as starship fuel. (DW: Aliens of London, World War Three) Later, the surviving member on Earth, Blon attempted to blow up Earth with a nuclear explosion on the Cardiff rift. Unlike the earlier attempt, this was merely to help her escape Earth. (DW: Boom Town) By the 2500s, the Slitheen family was in a poor condition, being driven out of business by their rivals the Blathereen family. (DW: The Monsters Inside)
The Slitheen are rivals (and "cousins") with the Blathereen family , with the Blathereen gaining the upper hand in 2500s. They are descendants of the Huspick Degenerate and cousins of the Rackateen. The whole family has been exiled from their planet, with the death penalty imposed upon they should they they return. Blon said that they use Venom Grubs to dispose of family members not willing to engage in criminality activities (DW: Boom Town)
- Blon may have made up this fact to gain the Doctor's sympathy.

Minor reference
- In 2012, Henry van Statten's private collection contained a severed Raxacoricofallapatorian arm. Since no other known Raxacoricofallapatorians had come to Earth by that time, it may well have come from the corpse of a killed member of the family Slitheen. (DW: Dalek)
