Imaginary Boys was a BBC Radio audio story written by Paul Magrs and featuring a Novelisor from Verbatim Six.

Lawrence is new in town, new to Earth actually - he claims to be from Verbatim Six, a small planet about three hundred light years away. - While main character David Tayler and his family originate from Paul Magrs' novel The Diary of a Dr Who Addict, details of their lives are altered for Imaginary Boys. The Diary of a Dr Who Addict has David as a 12 year old boy in 1982; in Imaginary Boys, David is 17 in 2013. Imaginary Boys replaces David's love of Doctor Who with a love for science fiction books and stories in general.
