On 26 September, the following important behind-the-scenes events were known to have occurred:
- 1994 - Executive producer Philip Segal was asked by his superior Steven Spielberg to hire a new writer for the 1996 TV movie. This was because he found that previous writer John Leekley's 8 September work was veering a little too closely to his own Indiana Jones series, also the reason why he turned down directing the movie. Eventually, Robert deLaurentis was chosen, and handed in a revised draft of the storyline on 7 October.
- 2003 - The return of Doctor Who in a new, BBC Wales-produced series was announced officially by Controller of BBC One Lorraine Heggessey.
- 2006 - Recording for Nocturne took place at The Moat Studios.
- 2012 - Recording for Dark Eyes 2 took place at The Moat Studios.
