Merin (planet) was the location of the Apocalypse Clock. It had an ancient civilisation which Bernice Summerfield thought was very advanced or the time they lived in. It's people dominated the galaxy for over 300s before retreating into tribal behaviour. (AUDIO: The City and the Clock)
