Angus McCloud was a friend and former colleague of Edward Grainger. He attended Edward's fiftieth birthday party on 24 June 1956. (PROSE: Dear John)

While visiting his grandson Toby in September 1986, Angus met the Sixth Doctor and Peri Brown when they were trying to defeat a group of telepathic aliens from invading Earth. (PROSE: Old Boys)
