Not an alternate timeline

I agree it is not an alternate timeline, as clearly stated in the story. But what is it? Ideas? Amorkuz 11:26, March 11, 2018 (UTC)

Might it count as a pocket universe or possibly something akin to the Shadow World as it is similarly virtual? GusF 11:42, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
I would vote for the Shadow World route. The way I understood the Ninth Doctor explanation in the story, he originally thought it was a parallel universe but later realised it was not. Pocket universes were not mentioned, to the best of my recollection. But Shadow World is a very good analogy, which I did not think of myself. It would be good to give it a name. Utopia Mirror? I don't remember the text, unfortunately, and won't have time to check in the near future. Amorkuz 11:46, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
UPD: Revanvolatrelundar actually named it Utopia window, which is probably more correct than "mirror". Amorkuz 11:48, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
As for the category, any objections to Category:Stories set outside time and space? Amorkuz 11:52, March 11, 2018 (UTC)

Its more a virtual reality than anything else. The mirror aspect is basically a gateway to a parallel world that exists solely in the mirror itself. Once the Doctor works out what's going on he tricks the system and finds that in reality he has been stood next to the TARDIS the whole time, where in the Utopia window it was miles away. It's a lot like the Matrix (the film), actually.

For the category, I'd lean more towards a fictional world than outside space and time. --Revan\Talk 15:28, March 11, 2018 (UTC)

Perhaps a new category, Category:Virtual realities, which would also house Virtual reality and Shadow World? OncomingStorm12th 15:47, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
Yeah, Donna's World too. Good call. Amorkuz 16:01, March 11, 2018 (UTC)
