Owen Teale played Maldak in the Doctor Who television story Vengeance on Varos and later played Evan Sherman in the Torchwood television story Countrycide. He also voiced Hayton in the Doctor Who audio story The Mind's Eye.

Outside of Doctor Who, Teale is known for playing Ser Alliser Thorne in HBO's Game of Thrones.
