User:Raukodraug
I'm a fan of Science Fiction in general, and Doctor Who in particular.
I've been using the name Raukodraug on the net for almost 15 years. It comes from Tolkien's elvish meaning "Demon Wolf" and, as you might imagine, I have an affinity for the Bad Wolf storyline.
Biography
I started watching on my local PBS station when I was 9 and lamented when it went on "hiatus". I was excited to see the Doctor Who TV Movie (even had a bit of a party) and then was disappointed when a new show didn't come to fruition. I don't have cable, but I recently got Netflix, so I'm catching up on Nine and Ten, and going back and watching all of the available older episodes... and I love it.
I'm also a fan of other Sci-fi & Fantasy shows including Firefly, Red Dwarf, Babylon 5, Stargate SG-1, Buffy, Angel, and even Voltron.
Wiki Experience
Previous to starting here... nearly none. I am now an admin over at the Camping Wikia. Rest assured I am still likely to ask dumb questions every now and again.
Quotes
Added as I watch the episodes:
The First Doctor
- "There is no indignity in being afraid to die, but there is a terrible shame in being afraid to live." --Alydon, The Daleks
- "A rash action is worse than no action at all." --The Doctor, The Edge of Destruction
The Ninth Doctor
- "You know what they call me in the ancient legends on the Dalek home world? "The Oncoming Storm". You might have removed all your emotions, but I reckon right down in your DNA there's one little spark left. And that's fear. Doesn't it just burn when you face me?" --The Doctor, The Parting of the Ways
- "Rose, before I go, I just want to tell you. You were fantastic. Absolutely fantastic. And you know what? So was I." --The Doctor, The Parting of the Ways
The Tenth Doctor
- I'm their man in Havana. I'm their technical support... Oh my god. I'm the tin dog." --Mickey Smith, School Reunion
- "Oh, did you have to? 'No turning back.' That's almost as bad as, 'nothing can possibly go wrong' or 'this is going to be the best Christmas this orphanage has ever had.'" -- The Doctor, The Impossible Planet
Contributions
My contributions for DWA: Doctor Who Annual 1966 are done!.
Now on to Decalog, which I found a copy of when I was cleaning out my basement a few weeks ago.
I'm also hoping to work on the Infobox Development Project as time allows.
