The Jathaa were an alien race whose main type of transport was the Jathaa sunglider.
History
The Jathaa had interstellar travel capabilities by (at the earliest) the late 20th century, and by the 1990s began to visit Earth.
In 1996, a Jathaa sunglider was shot down by the Torchwood Institute over the North Sea and kept in Torchwood 1 (DW: Army of Ghosts). Its weapons system was back-engineered for use against alien invasions, the only known use of it being against the Sycorax spaceship on Christmas Day 2006. (DW: The Christmas Invasion)
- The Jathaa may have a fleet of sungliders, as many sungliders appeared over the Taj Mahal when the Cardiff rift fractured. (TW: End of Days)
