Wounded Knee was a location in South Dakota where the Sioux were massacred (PROSE: The Book of the War) on 28 December 1890. (PROSE: Project Thunderbird, The Book of the War)

In an alternate timeline, Faction Paradox changed the course of the Wounded Knee massacre by aiding Yellow Bird's Ghost Dance. Yellow Bird summoned an actual army of ghost warriors to defeat the American cavalry threatening the Sioux. A tear in reality remained in Wounded Knee until it was closed in 1970.
