Professor John Henbest was a psychiatrist on an alternate Earth.
His older brother died in a tragic swimming accident when he was young, so his parents spoiled him to compensate. He was the official staff psychiatrist at "the Hill", the American nuclear weapons testing facility in Los Alamos. The Seventh Doctor hypnotised him so he and Ace would pass their psych evaluations.
