Behind the scenes
- The Blue Angel hints at The Tomorrow People existing in the Doctor Who universe by having one of its characters mention "children who, thinking they are some sort of 'homo superior', jaunt about the place in their one-piece spacesuits and go righting wrongs for the Federation."
- Nicholas Young was one of the main cast members, as John, the eldest of the Tomorrow People and their leader. Peter Davison, Geoffrey Bayldon, David Graham, David Prowse, Burt Kwouk, Michael Sheard, John Hollis, Bella Emberg, Francis De Wolff and many others also appeared in the series.
- Director Paul Bernard, writer Brian Finch and composer Dudley Simpson were also heavily involved in the original series.
- Big Finish produced an audio continuation of the television series. Five series were made from 2001 to 2007, starring, among others, Nicholas Young, Helen Goldwyn, and Trevor Littledale.
- The Slarvians, a snail-like species from Slarvia, originate from the Big Finish Productions Tomorrow People audio story The Slarvian Menace.
- Tracy Ann Oberman also played a part in the Big Finish series. She was a huge fan of the series, and on finding out about the audio series, and convinced David Tennant on set of the series 2 finale to ask Nicholas Briggs to consider her. (BFX: The Resurrection of Mars)
