Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]
The Homo superior children described in The Blue Angel originate from The Tomorrow People, ITV's 1970s response to Doctor Who.
The term "Homo superior" was coined by Olaf Stapleton. The novel Peculiar Lives, heavily inspired by the works of Stapleton, features Homo peculiar. The term "Homo superior" was later adopted for the X-Men comic stories, where it's used to describe the mutants.
