Kylex-12 or sometimes Kyle was an android created by Teldek. When her ship crashed, he teleported to Earth, where he helped her establish herself in the civilisation and conceal herself from the Nix. She instructed Kylex-12 to search the Earth for other extra-terrestrial visitors. In 1982, he began dating Tegan Jovanka when he sensed a temporal energy signature, which were harmless exotic particles and a side effect of TARDIS travel, after the Fifth Doctor left her at Heathrow Airport. They met again after this with the Doctor and Nyssa. Kyle had fallen in love with Tegan but she did not return his feelings. (AUDIO: The Waters of Amsterdam)
