Joanna, Princess of England, also known as Princess Joanna, was the sister of King Richard I and King John.
Biography
While she was in Palestine with Richard in 1190, she took Vicki Pallister under her protection.
Richard tried to arrange a marriage between Joanna and Saladin's brother Saphadin to broker a peace between the English and Saladin's people, the Saracens. Joanna herself, however, refused to do so, telling Richard that the Pope would never permit her marriage to "that infidel". (TV: The Crusade)
