Page creation[[edit source]]

Hi please see the changes I made to Javier Aliaga to see the things you have to keep in mind when creating a new page thanks Shambala108 01:37, March 9, 2020 (UTC)

RE: Category[[edit source]]

First of, Shambala is a woman, so please use "she/her" in the future. Secondly, I can't help much in the "getting in touch with her", because the only means of communication we have is this Wiki. If she didn't reply, it's most likely because she didn't have the time, or perhaps forgot to do so.
However, I can help in the sense that I might know the reason it was deleted: there was a discussion long ago (though I can't find the link right now) that we wouldn't do categories for LGBT+ people (a category that I and a few other editors don't agree entirely). So, Until and unless there is a new discussion in which it is decided that we should do these categories, they can't be created. OncomingStorm12th (talk) 22:45, April 16, 2020 (UTC)
In addition to what our good admin OncomingStorm12th said above, I would add that although, as OS12th said, this is possibly not the main reason your category was deleted, it's also the case that if it were to exist, it should have been [[:Category:Lesbian individuals]] without capitalisation of the "I". I don't think it's very fetching either, but there you have it. See also The Doctor's mother instead of [[The Doctor's Mother]], for a high-profile example of the same point in the Tardis Wiki manual-of-style. --Scrooge MacDuck 23:00, April 16, 2020 (UTC)
Looks like this has already been answered, but just wanted to point out, it wasn't stupid of you to call me "he" since you didn't know better, so no need to apologize. I'm not the kind of person who takes offense at that kind of thing. Shambala108 23:24, April 16, 2020 (UTC)

Skaro in the Cushing Movies[[edit source]]

This is a bit of a questionable decision you've made in that edit rationale IMO. We don't create separate pages for everything in an invalid story, if it's depicted similarly to how it is in valid sources; if there's a bit of discrepancy/additional info, well, that's what BTS sections are for. What's next? Dalek (Dr. Who and the Daleks)? Human (Dr. Who and the Daleks)?!…

But even granting that the geography of the Cushing films' Skaro be different enough to warrant such a separate page, this hardly seems like the right time to launch into such a project when there is a forum thread going on which, while yet unclosed, really does look likely to make the Cushing movies into actually valid sources. --Scrooge MacDuck 17:14, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

Well, really, we only have pages for invalid versions of concepts if it makes sense. I don't know if this is clarified in any specific policy, but it's a matter of common sense. There's things in invalid stories that just exist to rely on the readers' preexisting knowledge, and don't seek to reimagine them at all. The Seventh Doctor has a lot of history (and abilities) in Death Comes to Time that he doesn't have elsewhere, and to an extent so does the Brigadier, but when it involves the President of the U.S.A., we have a page about that guy but there's no need to have a page about the DCtT U.S.A. in particular.
For the Daleks, there are different Daleks than the ones we met on television, and they have their own character pages like Gold Dalek (Daleks' Invasion Earth 2150 A.D.); what more could a page about the species bring us that can't be covered on those pages? Species-wise they are Daleks through and through. --Scrooge MacDuck 17:39, May 12, 2020 (UTC)

Thank you![[edit source]]

Hey, I'm around to give more Iris clarifications. :) Just felt like saying thanks for your help in improving Queer representation in Doctor Who! CoT ? 17:52, May 27, 2020 (UTC)

BBV and the Wiki[[edit source]]

Hey there, Never Forget The Day The 456 Arrived! Thank you for letting me know about the Rules about BBV for this Wiki. I'm sorry that I didn't know. I just thought I could fill in the gaps and cover some of the BBV stories and audio. But if they're not wanted then I understand. Again I'm sorry.

Punchline[[edit source]]

Cheers for the headsup. I suppose I should have really checked the BBV Productions article first to make sure that page was legit or not. Snivy The coolest Pokemon ever 19:19, May 31, 2020 (UTC)

Genderfluid[[edit source]]

Genderfluid is an adjective - you can be a Time Lord but you can't be a genderfluid. The noun is genderfluidity, but, unless I'm mistaken, that's never been used in any DW media. -- Saxon (✉️) 21:25, June 9, 2020 (UTC)

Polls[[edit source]]

Sorry, no idea. I don't use the "Discussion Board" very much — I'll stick with the good old Forums as long as I can. But good luck with whatever it is you're trying to do! --Scrooge MacDuck 02:32, June 10, 2020 (UTC)

TARDIS Eruditorum Thread[[edit source]]

So I made Thread:275731 sort of as an offshoot of what we discussed on Talk:TARDIS Eruditorum. We largely came to consensus in the talk page, but your input would be appreciated on the larger discussion given the relation to what we discussed prior. Najawin 04:23, June 11, 2020 (UTC)
