The Christmas-land, as Gillian nick-named it, was covered in snow and pine trees, resembling a typical Christmas scene. It was home to reindeer, squirrels, and polar bears. Santa Claus moved his workshop there because of all the noisy aeroplanes which were now passing over the North Pole.

When the First Doctor, John and Gillian arrived there, a team of reindeer pulling a sleigh arrived to take them to Santa Claus, who told them that he was falling behind on making toys due to demands for model TARDISes and interference from the Demon Magician. The Doctor helped Santa out by using his "magic box" to increase toy production and, later, to defeat the Demon Magician. (COMIC: A Christmas Story)
