When Rose Tyler voiced her amazement at seeing so many aliens aboard Platform One, the Ninth Doctor quipped that it was a good thing he had not took her to the Deep South. Shortly after, Rose observed that the Doctor was "too busy thinking up cheap shots about the Deep South" to ask if she wanted the TARDIS' telepathic field inside her mind. (TV: The End of the World)
