St James' Hall

St James' Hall was a concert hall in London. Leonard Borwick held a chamber concert at the hall with Dr Joachim on the evening of Friday 1 July 1898, where the pair played sonatas for the piano and violin. An advert for the concert appeared in a copy of The Times. (TV: Deep Breath) A decade earlier, the musician Wilma Norman-Neruda was scheduled to play Chopin's works there in 1887, Sherlock Holmes suggested to John Watson that they attend the performance, asking his friend "What better way to spend an evening?"
