Magda (The Blue Angel), unless I'm missing something?

Talk about it here.

CharStub.png

Magda was a mermaid who worked for the Darlington branch of MIAOW. (PROSE: The Dreadful Flap) The version of Magda that lived in the Obverse was the Eighth Doctor's mother. (PROSE: The Blue Angel)

Magda had an Eastern European accent, and when going out into public, she would sit in a wheelchair and cover her tail with a blanket. (PROSE: The Blue Angel, Enter Wildthyme)

Her home was far South of Darlington, near a small neighbouring village. She enjoyed watching the Midwinter Murders TV show in her spare time. (PROSE: Enter Wildthyme)

Biography

In the 1980s, Magda was driven mad by the pollution from a nuclear power plant. Using her siren song, Magda almost destroyed the plant, but stopped by Iris Wildthyme and MIAOW. Magda was brought into the care of MIAOW, who assigned her to work at their Darlington branch. As part of her work she worked at the shop which hid the entrance to the MIAOW base, and often looked after the base when other MIAOW agents were in the field. She thought that Iris was kidnapping people and told Kelly this. She was delighted when she found the Aja'ib in Kelly's bookshop and started to read it. (PROSE: Enter Wildthyme)

Alternate dimension

In an alternate dimension, Magda was still an agent of MIAOW but in a universe where Iris was a fictional being, though she knew that Iris was a real person in a different dimension. She met with Sammy in a cafe. She was an old friend of Terry Kelly and explained to him about MIAOW. (PROSE: Wildthyme Beyond!)

Behind the scenes

Magda appeared in the short story Cabinet of Changes published in the charity anthology Walking in Eternity by Philip Purser-Hallard.
