Biography

"Harold Saxon is a renaissance man for the 21st century, with more achievements at his young age than most people fit into several lifetimes.

Now, in his latest incarnation as the most original politician of his generation, he has been swept to power on a vast groundswell of public opinion, the like of which Britain has never seen.

He has transformed the nature of British politics by daring to stand apart from the party system. His platform is fresh and dynamic, yet traditional. He is young, but all those who have met him have been struck by a wisdom beyond his years."

A Better Britian

"Harold Saxon is the man who will finally restore Britain to the position of greatness and global significance it once took for granted.

Even before he took the reins of power his agenda had a major impact. Military recruitment is now at its highest for decades, and unemployment is sinking as a result. Harold Saxon has put the pride back into Britain and made us an international force again. His diplomacy has earned us allies around the world, and the Union Flag is welcomed as never before.

The British public have taken him to their hearts like no other: early opinion polls suggest that he is the most popular premier in British history. All politicians have their critics, but there can be no doubt that Harold Saxon has silenced his completely.

Leaders of all three major parties - and even some Scottish Nationalists - defected to his banner of unity, bringing most of their parties with them. All that remains of those once august institutions are a few old soldiers, unable to change with the times and clinging to past glories. The rest of us look forward to a more effective and efficient government."

The Call of Duty

A few paragraphs of Saxon comparing himself to Winston Churchill;

"There can be no doubt that this is the time for Harold Saxon. In a troubled age, he has stepped forward. He has embraced his destiny and not flinched from the huge challenges that lie ahead. Remind you of anyone?

Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, the man who was called upon to lead his country in its darkest hour and made it Britain's finest. The parallels are uncanny.

Both men could be described as blessed with the common touch. Churchill showed boldness and imagination as a military leader: Harold Saxon's policies demonstrate his desire to replicate that brilliance. Both are considered legendary orators, lifting the spirits and calming the troubled breast. When Harold Saxon addresses the nation it listens, awed.

Harold Saxon understands our difficulties and knows how to deal with them. It is as though he addresses each of us personally, reaching straight into our hearts."

Meet Lucy Saxon

A short biography of Lucy Saxon;

"Nobody has done more to support Harold Saxon's campaign than his wife, Lucy.

Lucy is the youngest child of Lord Cole of Tarminster, who sat in the House of Lords prior to the reforms. However, Lucy never saw herself following in her father's footsteps. "I was never a political person before I met Harry," she says. "But then, I don't see myself as a political person now. Like Harry, I just believe in doing what's best."

She attended Rodean School, representing Sussex at netball, before going on to study Italian at St Andrews. Since graduating she has worked for several charities and most recently in publishing. She met Harold Saxon whilst working on his autobiography, and she soon added a new and very significant chapter to his life when they married last year.

Lucy is constantly asked by the media whether she plans to have children. "It's one of my long-term goals," she says. "But Harry's job is going to take him to some exciting places in the years to come, and I want to be there by his side.""

My Beliefs

Saxon makes no explicit reference to any existing political party or similar policies, instead mentioning his predecessor's (Harriet Jones) xenophobic policies and his plan for a more "open minded" Britain;

"First, let me thank the British public for your overwhelming confidence in me. I am humbled by the mandate you have given me and I pledge to deliver on the promises I made to you before the election.

"I have every confidence that my aims can be achieved, because I believe that this is a great nation made up of great people. This is a belief that I have found lacking among my peers: I was perhaps born out of step with these cynical times.

"If a typical citizen of Queen Victoria's Britain were to find themselves in the Britain of today, they would surely wonder what had happened to our pride, steel and conviction. I believe that Britain will regain its position of global importance.

"I believe that the business of government does not have to be complicated. Too often politicians have mystified the process in order to avoid transparency. I have nothing to hide.

"One of my predecessors, Harriet Jones, was the latest to make the mistake of concealing Britain's encounters with alien life. I believe that we need to adapt to the way that our world is changing, and that Britain can and should provide a lead on such matters. I will be open-minded and offer a balanced view, and I dare to dream that Britain might one day be more than just a global player.

"Most importantly, I believe in you and consider myself your loyal servant."
