The Story of Fester Cat (PROSE: Fester and the Christmas Mouse) was a book written by Fester Cat in the final years of his life. The book encapsulated the preceding six-and-a-half years of Fester's life.
Fester began writing the book after Paul Magrs, Fester's owner, suggested that Fester should write a book, considering that Fester had written several reviews on Paul's blog. Fester found the process relatively easy, but he wasn't the most accurate in what he wrote; for instance, Fester omitted art critic Panda, a fellow resident at Paul and Jeremy's home, from most of the book simply because he was sceptical Panda was actually alive. (PROSE: The Story of Fester Cat) In the process of writing the book, Paul suggested writing a short story in order to publicize the book. (PROSE: Fester and the Christmas Mouse) After Fester died in Spring of 2013, Paul spent the following days frantically finishing the book, in a combined effort to make sure that the years Fester and spent with him were immortalised and in an immaterial attempt to bring Fester to life upon the page.
