In my long and eventful life, I have experienced nothing that I could not account for by the laws of physics, chemistry, or biology. If a God or Gods exists, and I cannot rule out the possibility, then I can only presume that He, She or They take no active part in the lives of the many and various creatures that populate this extensive and wonderful universe of theirs. The Doctor [The Empire of Glass [src]]

Gods were beings of divine power from the mythology of many species. The powers, abilities and appearances of the gods can vary greatly from culture to culture. Some might consider Transcendental Beings to be true gods, due to their immense power.

The Doctor didn't believe in any specific god, but had met a number of beings claiming to be gods. (DW: The Satan Pit) However, when the Doctor once stated when someone asked what Christmas is he said 'I should know, I was there. I got the last room'. That means he may have been a Christian as he took the last room at the inn where the stable was where Jesus was born.

Human gods

The Humans of Earth and the colonies had many gods from their various cultures. Most, if not all, of these gods were revealed to be aliens or other advanced beings.

Other Gods and Goddesses

Many other races have had gods of some kind, many also being living beings.
