(PROSE: A Brief History of Time Lords) As he stood motionless in a cage containing a paralysis field, (PROSE: The Novel of the Film) they blew his body to fine dust, with high-pitched cries of "Exterminate!". (TV: Doctor Who) However, the Master was able to survive his execution, having acquired the physiology of a Deathworm Morphant. (AUDIO: Mastermind, TV: Doctor Who)

Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Dalek Execution.
  • The Master's Dalek executioners are heard but not seen in the opening sequence of Doctor Who. They would be identified as the Dalek Prelature in the audio story Mastermind.

  • An illustration of the Master's execution is depicted in one instalment of the Doctor Who DVD Files feature Flashbacks, published in its sixty-first issue of the magazine. The Dalek executioners are depicted as hovering Imperial Daleks, identical to those originally seen in Remembrance of the Daleks.
  • A "prelature" is the office, rank, or authority of a prelate, who is bishop or other high ecclesiastical dignitary.
