The Engineer was one of the Guardian Angels on an Earth-like world. Like the other Guardians, she wanted to escape to Countryside. The Fourth Doctor helped him repair a rail track so the Guardians could get there. He did not survive to learn it was a myth. (COMIC: End of the Line)
