Zero X Beats Space Curse! was the third cover story printed in Action 21 to contain elements from the Doctor Who universe. Framed as the front page of an in-universe periodical, it was a crossover with Zero X, Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons and Fireball XL5.

- The Zero X crew are returning from Mars but not to Earth because Glenn Field has diverted the ship to a secret location for reasons currently undisclosed to Action 21.
- Lieutenant Green has explained that Cloudbase was attacked by knockout gas but that everyone aboard is now fully recovered.
- Although the SPECTRUM headquarters is over the Coral Sea at present, Green pledged that agents would be sent to Unity City as soon as an internal security matter was cleared up.
