Mr. Socket's electrical shop was located next door to the clothes shop where Rose Tyler worked. When the mannequins in the clothes shop revealed themselves to be Autons and started attacking, the Ninth Doctor grabbed Rose and ran into Mr. Sprocket’s. The Doctor used his sonic screwdriver to turn on all of the appliances in the shop to distract the Autons long enough for the pair to escape to the nearby toy shop. (PROSE: Dr. Ninth)
