Nicola Sian played Ellie Oswald in the Doctor Who webcast The Bells of Saint John: A Prequel and the Doctor Who television story The Rings of Akhaten. She also voiced Sarra Vanser and a Female Drachee in the Big Finish Doctor Who audio story The Brood of Erys.
She is three years younger than Jenna Coleman, who plays her daughter. Like Jenna Coleman, Nicola comes from Blackpool.
