Michael Hart was a Vardan in charge of the Mediasphere. He was planning an invasion of Earth and used Teddy Baxter to help in their plans and to allow the Vardans back on the Mediasphere. The First Doctor told him that as Teddy saw his future if they killed him they would be trapped in a time bubble.[statement unclear] (AUDIO: The Vardan Invasion of Mirth)
