Teddy Baxter was a comedian and amateur astronomer who discovered the Vardans' Mediasphere, which he believed to be the tenth moon of Saturn, shortly before his stage partner went missing in 1956. He then hired Steven Taylor as the straight man in his act. As the Vardans showed him his future, they created a fixed point in time. Teddy helped to stop the Vardans' plans.
