Claude Monet

Claude Monet was an Impressionist (PROSE: Vincent van Gogh) artist known for his work with the colour blue. He painted in Paris in 1865. (PROSE: World Game)

In the Paloma Centre, his work was kept in the Blue Room. (PROSE: The War of Art) According to the Tenth Doctor, Monet would have loved the sight of the Saturn V launch from the Kennedy Space Center. He claimed that the sight would also have been "completely wasted on him" due to having the worst eyesight the Doctor had ever seen. According to the Doctor, Monet thought he was "one of the great photo-realists of his age". (PROSE: Blue Moon)

One summer, Monet and Renoir painted outside the same café on the Seine. The Twelfth Doctor recounted this event to Jess Collins. (COMIC: Moving In)

When Vincent van Gogh lived in Paris in the 1880s, he was exposed to the vorks of Monet, Renoir and other Impressionists, who were major influences on his own art. (PROSE: Vincent van Vincent)
