Paloma Centre

From Tardis Wiki, the free Doctor Who reference

The Paloma Centre was one of the largest collections of art in the universe, covering an entire continent. It had works by Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Matisse, Zoirarghhh, Claude Monet, Salvador Dalí, René Magritte, Michelangelo, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Rousseau, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, William Turner and Radico Harstel. Art was split up into a variety of sections, such the Picasso Hall and the Blue Room (for art which was blue). It was run by Armidagertaflex 333.9 and staffed and protected by spherical robots. It also had android copies of the artists, allowing them to interact with patrons.

At some point after the 32nd century, the Eleventh Doctor came to the Paloma Centre in search of The Pandorica Opens. A group of Arucha followed him, believing him to be after something valuable. They attacked the Centre, but the Doctor was able to ward them off by using his sonic screwdriver to control the androids, making them attack the Arucha. Eventually, he was able to convince them that he was looking for The Physical Impossibility of Getting a Shanghorn into a Glass Tank and that it was a weapon of some kind. The Arucha stole it and escaped. It was only afterwards that the Doctor found out that The Pandorica Opens wasn't in the Paloma Centre but in his own TARDIS. (PROSE: The War of Art)
