Luchino (born Luke) was a viscount.

Biography[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luke was seen as the spare to his older brother Franco, of whom he was jealous due to him being the favourite. Luke was sent off-world to fight in a war whilst Franco never left their parents' side. Later, Franco signed over the title of viscount to Luke, whose name he lengthened to "Luchino". However, Luchino refused to use his name and demanded to be known as "the Viscount", referring to himself only by this name and talking about himself in the third person.

Luchino inherited the Welkin Sanatorium and Centre for Wellness on Soresia and went there with Franco. They caught the Soresian virus and died, but lived on as holograms thanks to Aether Beauregarde's machine. He hoped that the Fifth Doctor, Nyssa, Tegan Jovanka and Marc would be able to find a cure and was stopped from attacking the Doctor by Adric after the Doctor came to question him about Nora Edgecastle's death. They both disappeared as Aether used her machine to try to bring Nora back.

Upon reappearing, Luchino spoke with the other holograms about what to do with the Doctor and his companions and suggested that they be kept in the Welkin to keep the virus and news on Aether's machine from spreading. Once they were locked up, he decided to have Fabrico kill them and ordered her to do so, although he found himself unable to watch the recording. He disappeared after Adric switched off the machine. Personality[[edit] | [edit source]]

Luchino was incredibly jealous of Franco and how he was treated by their parents, one particular point of irritation being how their parents had given Franco several names whilst he was simply named "Luke". After Franco signed his title over, Luchino started talking about himself in the third person as "the Viscount" out of self-importance and, when Aether's machine was switched off, he said that he was too important to die. Behind the scenes[[edit] | [edit source]]

Glen McCready described Luchino as "spiteful, cruel and a pretty unpleasant fellow". (BFX: The Lost Resort)
