Solana was Thalira's granddaughter and, following her mother's death, heir to the throne of Peladon. She fell ill because of the poison that Gobran had put in the water supply and was hidden away at the Temple of Aggedor during the Galactic Federation's inspection. River Song uncovered the cause of Solana's illness and Alpha Centauri gave her dollemberry juice to drink instead of the water. (AUDIO: The Poison of Peladon)
