Boswell Boliver's time machine was a unique space-time vessel built by the human scientist Boswell Boliver. It took the form of a room full of equipment, including a large archway. As Boliver had no intention of returning to his home era, the machine simply projected the user back in time without actually travelling back in time itself. Boliver used the machine to send himself with the Middle Ages, carrying multiple pieces of modern technology he intended to use to become respected and admired by the "primitive" denizens of the past. His plan failed, however, due to such oversights as a radio being useless without radio stations to pick up, and Boliver was stranded with no way back to the present. (COMIC: Dr. Who's Time Tales)
