Lady Maud was the wife of the 12th century English Earl Godfrey. Taken ill, she was bedridden and feverish throughout the siege of the castle and nearby village by two successive, gigantic Krynoids. Shortly after the second Krynoid had been defeated, she finally awakened, having been cured by a potion prepared by the herbalist and scholar Moses of Tyre. Godfrey dreaded the prospect of having to explain to her precisely why the castle was "suddenly" in such a state of disarray. (AUDIO: The Green Man)
